Comments:-Tape Echo broken up into 4 time stereo, plus synth noises in the background (MOD FX LVL to make them louder). This is the basis of the "various processing" demo that you can hear on the main vortex page.

Comments:-This patch is based on the Underwater by SFNR. A great variety of sounds can be achieved. My favorite is to set the pedal from 20 to 25 and gently bring in harmonics on my strat with the volume knob. Now your talking to the the whales!! Thanks Andy!

Comments:- dynamically sensitive - use a longer tapped delay for synth-like action - louder notes bend the notes subtly like a pitch bend wheel. This is great for simulation burbling synthesizer pads with a clean tone electric guitar. Think Steve Tibbets or Allan Holdsworths droning string pads.

Comments:-Sometimes your brain shuts down. This patch is the true alien murk patch. The other patch I submitted under this name is really named "burbly" and is more of a patch to be used with big rhythm guitar sounds such as on some sort of ballad. This* patch, with sufficient delay, will let you create big, thick swaths of string-synth like chords, but much more rich and mysterious. Use chords with open strings and you'll see what I mean. If you like Tibbets, Torn or Holdsworth's drone guitars you'll probably like this one. Use your volume pedal/knob to swell into chords and let them sustain while moving to the next chord. Single notes high-up on the fretboard sound like single-note string synthesizer. 9th, 11th and 13ths low on the fretboard adds the ominous touch. Joy!

Comments:- during the initial "screwing around with the new toy" period, this setting was the first (of many) to pop out and make me think "well.. i'm obviously keeping this box". the effect is subtle yet distictively 'texter and great for e-bow solos. much joy to be had in atmosphere b land...
